Acast makes it as easy as possible to move your episodes, show notes, and followers with zero downtime. However, as per Spotify for Podcaster's own help site, the process could take up to a week. During that week, your listeners should have no problem listening to your podcast, but we still strongly suggest planning ahead.
Let's get started.
Step 1. Create an account.
Create your account here, if you haven't already.
Step 2. Import your podcast
The first page you'll be brought to after creating your account will prompt you to Create New Show or Import existing Show.
If your podcast has already been submitted to Apple Podcasts, you can easily search for the podcast and select it for import.
Otherwise, you'll need to retrieve your RSS feed URL in the input field.
Step 3. Go to your Spotify for Podcasters (formerly Anchor) dashboard to begin your 301 redirect
As per Spotify for Podcaster's help site, you will need to take the following steps:
On web:
Log in to creators.spotify.com.
Select Settings. On mobile, you need to tap the 3 lines in the top-right corner to see this option.
Find Redirect your podcast.
Paste your new RSS feed into the box.
Select Redirect.
Note: It’s not possible to redirect your feed from the Spotify for Creators mobile app.

How to Confirm Your Redirect is Working
To verify that your podcast redirect from Spotify to Acast is functioning correctly:
Locate your old Spotify-hosted RSS feed.
Open the RSS feed URL in a web browser or a feed reader.
Check if the URL automatically forwards to your new Acast RSS feed.
If the redirect is successful, the old URL will resolve to your Acast feed, confirming that the redirect is fully in place.
Spotify should be the only major podcasting platform that you will need to manually update with your new host. Luckily, we have a simple guide here. If you aren't seeing your new episodes in Apple after your redirect, we'd advise checking in your Apple Podcast Connect just to make sure all looks right, or reach out to Apple directly. Once Spotify confirms the redirect and updates your host information to your Acast RSS feed, Spotify-originating downloads will begin appearing in Acast Insights. Please allow for a typical synchronization window of 24–48 hours for the data to reflect in your analytics.

Remember: it’s important that you keep your Spotify for Podcaster's account for a month after switching to ensure that the redirect is successful.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Redirect Not Working: Double-check the old RSS feed URL and ensure it is correctly configured to forward to your Acast RSS feed.
Data Not Appearing in Acast Insights: Ensure the synchronization window has passed. If the issue persists, contact Acast support for further assistance.
