How to create a podcast on Acast

Get your podcast set up in just a few steps

Updated over a year ago

Welcome to Acast! We make it really simple to get your podcast online and shared in every podcast app on the planet. Let's get started.

First, we need to determine if you are starting a brand new podcast, or importing a podcast from another host.

Create a New Show

If you are creating a new show, think of it as painting a picture on a blank canvas. Just follow these easy steps:

  1. Click on I want to create a new show. This will create a brand new show with a new RSS feed for you.

  2. 2. You'll then be prompted to add some basic details about your podcast, like the title, categories, and copyright info. Don't worry if you don't know this yet—you can always change it later. Once you wish to save your new show, click on Create my new show.

  3. Congratulations, your new show has been created! From there, click the New Episode button to start uploading episodes to your show and start podcasting!

Moving your show to Acast / Import your existing show

If you have an existing show that you'd like to import to Acast, we're so happy to have you, and remember to issue a Redirect after you have imported your show successfully.

A redirect could take a few hours to a couple of days, depending on your current host. This is called a redirect and we have plenty of guides to walk you through this simple process.

Of course, if you're having issues importing your podcast onto Acast, please contact our support team in the Intercom chat.
