Spotify is a powerhouse for podcast discovery, but in 2026, their search engine uses personalized AI and "Search Authority" which can sometimes make new shows feel invisible. If you’re having trouble finding your show, follow these steps.
1. Check your "Search Authority"
In 2026, Spotify’s search is highly personalized. If your show is brand new or has few listeners, the algorithm may not rank it at the top immediately.
Use Quotation Marks: Search for your exact title in quotes to force Spotify to look for that specific string.
Search by Host: Try searching for the Host Name or a specific Episode Title.
Check "Show All": If you see a few results but not yours, scroll to the bottom of the "Podcasts" section and click Show all to see the full indexed list.
2. Verify Indexing Time
Even after Acast successfully sends your show to Spotify, it takes time for their system to "index" it for search.
The 72-Hour Rule: It can take 24 to 72 hours for a new show or a name change to become searchable.
Direct Link Check: Check your Acast Dashboard. If the Spotify direct link works, your show is live! The search engine is just catching up. If you didn't submit your show through Acast, this link won't be available.
3. Review your Metadata
Spotify’s 2026 AI search (including Prompted Playlists) relies heavily on your description.
Keyword Rich: Ensure your show description in Acast is at least 150–200 words and clearly describes your topic.
Avoid Keyword Stuffing: Don't just list words; write a clear bio. This helps the AI categorize your show so it appears in "Recommended for you" feeds.
4. Is it actually submitted?
If your show still doesn't appear, it might not be connected yet.
If you have a brand new show created on Acast
Go to your show’s Distribution settings in Acast and ensure it says "Activated" next to Spotify.
If you have imported your show to Acast
Make sure to follow our submission guide here.
At Spotify:
Log into Spotify for Creators to ensure your RSS feed is correctly claimed and there are no "Submission Errors" flagged.
Still missing?
If your show has been live for over 5 days the show still isn't searchable there may be a technical block.
Contact Spotify: Reach out to their support team via the Spotify for Creators Help Center.
