Spotify is one of the most popular platforms people use to listen to podcasts. They offer access to a broad audience and submitting your show is both quick and easy.

How do I submit my podcast to Spotify?

Note! If your show is already available on Spotify (in case you came from a different hosting platform), you don't activate the integration at Acast. This can results in duplicate shows. Just make sure to update your hosting information instead.

If your show is being submitted to Spotify for the first time, then follow the instructions below.

First, go to your show and click the Distributions tab.

Click the activate button next to "Spotify", and accept the terms to submit your show.

Done!

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take for Spotify to approve my show?

Most shows are online and active within just one hour. Bear in mind that acceptance onto Spotify's platform is subject to Spotify's processes and content policies, and that your show cannot contain any unauthorized use of music.

The Spotify for Podcasters dashboard

You can also view and submit your podcast on Spotify itself, and view a dashboard containing additional analytics about how your show is being consumed on Spotify. Sign up for a Spotify for Podcasters account here.

If you do not recognize the email address they display, this could be due to the email mask which can be easily updated.

Can I see my Spotify numbers in Insights?

Yes! Head to your Insights dashboard. From there you will see your Spotify download information under the Podcast Players tab.

Spotify is sending me a code but I am not receiving it on my email?

Acast masks the email address in your RSS feed to help you avoid unwanted spam, since this email is otherwise public. We forward mail from any legitimate sources to your email address on file. These forwarded messages sometimes end up caught up in a filter and might not reach you.

You can exposed your email address—to receive the code—by turning off the email mask. We recommend turning it back on afterwards.
