Changes in publishing your podcast
Updated over a week ago

Acast is striving to create the most intuitive and user-friendly dashboard for our podcasters. In that effort, changes will be coming to how you publish episodes on Acast in mid-January. Here's what you can expect.

What's different?

Your episode page will now be broken up into two sections. Episode details and Publishing settings.

Your episode settings page should seem very familiar since not much has changed. You will complete your title, summary, and all other information that will appear on your Acast website and in podcasting apps here as usual.

When you have completed the details here, you can either press Save as draft (make sure to complete this before leaving the episode to ensure your work is saved) or continue onto Publishing settings.

What is the Publishing settings page?

This page is designed to make it easier than ever for podcasters enrolled in Acast's marketplace to set their ad markers before pressing publish. Previously, an episode had to be published for ad markers to be set, but now you may set markers while your episode is still in the draft stage (so long as your audio is uploaded) and schedule your content.

From the Publishing settings page, you may also publish your episode or schedule for a later date as usual. You can now find this function at the top of the page, above the ad markers.

We hope this new process for publishing your episodes will help ensure your podcast's ads are set correctly and provide a more seamless flow for you, the podcaster. Of course, if you have any questions please reach out to our support team.
