Acast+ Access CMS guide

Updated over a week ago

With Acast+ Access, you manage both your public and private content and settings in one place in the CMS, making it really easy for you and your team to manage content for all of your listeners.

Note: If your entire show is available to private listeners only, you do not need to follow these steps as the default show title, cover art and description will be visible to private listeners only anyway. In other words, you should follow the steps below if you have a show that is available to both public and private listeners.

  1. Make sure your show is set up in the CMS (episodes can be published or in draft mode) and make sure that the show has been Access-enabled by the Acast tech team.

  2. Click on ‘Settings’ and scroll to the ‘Private Show Details’ section. Note: the steps below are optional and if you do not enter any information in these fields, private listeners will see the public information for these fields.

    1. Add a ‘Private show title’. This will help your listeners who might have both the public and the private feed in their app distinguish between the two. For example, some customers simply add ‘(Premium version)’ to the end of the public show title.

    2. Add a ‘Private show cover’. This will help your listeners who might have both the public and the private feed in their app distinguish between the two. Or, it’s useful if your premium and public shows have distinct branding.

    3. Add a ‘Private show description’. For example, this could be an extended version of the public show description, which includes details of the benefits that private listeners get.

    4. Note that this private title, show cover and description will only be visible to private listeners.

  3. Press ‘Save’.

  4. Nice! Private listeners will now see a custom show title, cover art and show description if you’ve added one.
