Acast+ Access CMS guide

Updated over a week ago

You might want to add some content to an episode that you actually don’t want your private Acast+ Access listeners to hear. For example, this could be a promotion to encourage listeners to subscribe to the premium version of your show. To make things even easier, you have the option of adding this public only content at a show level and that content will be automatically applied to every episode. Or, you can add public only content to a specific episode. Let’s cover the steps for adding public only content at a show level first.

Adding public only content to all episodes within a show

  1. Make sure your show is set up in the CMS (episodes can be published or in draft mode) and make sure that the show has been Access-enabled by the Acast tech team.

  2. Click on ‘Settings’ and scroll down to the section called ‘Intro/Outro’.

  3. Add your audio. Note: if you want the public only content to appear at the start of the episode, add a Public intro’. If you want the public only content to appear at the end of the episode, add a Public outro’.

  4. Click on ‘Publish settings’ and press ‘Save’ or ‘Publish’.

  5. Nice! That content will now only be available to your public listeners. Private listeners won’t notice any difference.
