You can now automatically add midroll markers to episodes that don’t already contain them.
Using Acast’s silence detection technology, markers are placed at natural break points across your catalogue - helping make more episodes ready for monetisation without manual updates.
How it works
Markers placement depends on the episode length:
Episodes between 10–20 minutes receive 1 midroll marker
Episodes longer than 20 minutes receive 2 midroll markers
Episodes shorter than 10 minutes don’t support midrolls.
If an episode longer than 20 minutes already contains 1 midroll marker, Acast will automatically place a second marker in a suitable location.
Any existing manually placed markers are preserved and will not be overwritten.
How to enable it
Go to Settings
Open Advanced
Click “Auto-place Midrolls”
Eligible episodes will then begin processing automatically.
Why midroll markers matter
Midroll markers define where ads can be inserted during an episode.
Adding them across your catalogue can help increase available monetisation inventory while keeping ad breaks placed at more natural moments in the audio.
