The Acast-Patreon integration is being discontinued. What does it mean for my show?
Updated this week

The Acast-Patreon integration will be discontinued on May 30th, 2025. This means that the private feeds previously delivered from Acast to your fans will no longer be supported on this date. It will not be possible to publish member-only from Acast to your fans on Patreon.

If you have only public episodes with us, this change will not have any impact for you.

What happens to my member-only content?

To keep this content available to your fans, we defined a process with Patreon to move your private content to their system, ensuring the smoothest transition possible. On import of the member-only content at Patreon, new private feeds will be generated for each of your fans.

We’ve partnered with Patreon to ensure there is no disruption to your members. Members will automatically be redirected to their new RSS links. This change will also allow your fans to listen to bonus content on the Spotify app, which wasn’t available previously.

You can see a process overview over here.

For the most detailed walkthrough, please refer to the full article at Patreon.

I just have member-only episodes on this feed.

Your show at Acast might only have private episodes for your fans, with no episodes publicly available.

In this case, the migration process from Acast to Patreon will ensure that all these episodes are copied at Patreon, generating a private feed for each of your fans access to this content. Please follow Patreon’s instructions to ensure that distribution of your content is set from Patreon and not Acast anymore.

Once the Acast-Patreon integration is removed on May 30th, your private content at Acast will be unpublished (set to draft in your show dashboard). The remaining empty feed will then turn public and you may use it to publish any piece of public content you wish. You will need to publish new private content from Patreon.

I have member-only and also public content on this feed.

Your show at Acast has a mix of public episodes available to all on podcast apps, and private member-only episodes.

The migration process from Acast to Patreon will import the private episodes as well as the public ones at Patreon. Patreon private RSS feeds will be generated for each of your fans, containing the member-only content as well as the publicly available content published previously.

Please follow Patreon’s instructions to ensure that distribution of your content is set from Patreon and not Acast anymore.

Once the Acast-Patreon integration is removed on May 30th, your private content at Acast will be unpublished to make sure it is not served on the public feed (set to draft in your show dashboard). The public episodes will remain hosted and you’ll still be able to publish future content on your public feed with us. You will need to publish new private content from Patreon.

All subscribers to this public feed on podcast apps will remain and nothing will change for them. Subscribers will be automatically redirected to their new private RSS feed at Patreon without having to take any action.

If you have questions about the transfer of your member-only content to Patreon, please reach out to Patreon Support team.
