Invoicing Address: Send all invoices to podinvoice@acast.com. This will automatically enter your invoices into our system.
Understanding Your VAT Responsibilities
As an Acast podcaster, it's important to understand your obligations regarding Value Added Tax (VAT) when invoicing Acast Stories GmbH. You are responsible for correctly applying and reporting VAT.
Invoicing Acast Stories GmbH
Businesses and Private Individuals: Both businesses and private individuals can invoice Acast Stories GmbH.
Confirming VAT Status: You should confirm your VAT status to Acast when submitting your invoices. You can do this by ensuring the Tipalti portal is up to date.
Private Individuals and ‘Credit Notes’
No VAT Registration Required: Private individuals without a VAT registration can still issue credit notes to Acast.
Zero VAT: In this case, the VAT amount on the credit note would be 0 EUR.
Wording for Small Business Exemption: If you are exempt from VAT due to the small business regulation (§ 19 UStG), include the following wording on your credit notes:
„Kein Umsatzsteuerausweis aufgrund Anwendung der Kleinunternehmerregelung gemäß § 19 UStG.“
(Translation: "No sales tax statement due to the application of the small business regulation in accordance with Section 19 UStG.")
