Categories are an important aspect of your show's presence on Acast. They help listeners find your show and understand what it's about. In this article, we'll explain how to update your show's categories and what to do if they don't match on other platforms.

Updating your categories

To update your show's categories, you'll need to go to your show's Settings page. From there, you can select up to 3 categories for your show. These categories should accurately represent the content and theme of your show.

It's important to regularly review and update your categories as your show evolves. This will ensure that your show is reaching the right audience and appearing in relevant search results.

Mismatched categories on other platforms

Sometimes, the categories you select on Acast may not match 100% with the categories on other platforms. This can happen due to differences in category options or categorization systems.

Unfortunately, this is not something we have control over. We recommend that you reach out to the platform directly to address any discrepancies. They may be able to make adjustments on their end to better align your show's categories.

It's also a good idea to regularly check your show's categories on other platforms and make any necessary updates. This will help ensure consistency and accuracy across all platforms.
