How to Change Your Podcast Cover Art

Easily update the cover art for your entire show or individual episodes in just a few clicks

How to Update Cover Art

  1. Go to Settings: Open your show dashboard and click the Settings tab.

  2. Upload Your Image: Click on the cover image area. If your image isn't square, use the + and - buttons to zoom and crop it into shape.

  3. Save Changes: Click Save underneath the image preview, confirm your selection, and then click the main Save button at the bottom of the page. You will be redirected back to your show page with your new artwork applied.

Cover Art Requirements

To ensure your artwork renders correctly across all podcast directories, your file should meet standard industry specifications:

  • Shape: Perfectly square (1:1 aspect ratio)

  • Dimensions: Between 1400 x 1400 pixels and 3000 x 3000 pixels

  • File Size: Maximum 512 KB (Acast automatically formats valid files)

  • Episode Artwork: Optional. If you do not upload a custom episode cover, your main show cover art will be used by default. Note that apps like Apple Podcasts display episode-specific artwork across all platforms when provided.

Platform Update Delays

Your new cover art updates immediately on Acast. However, external directories like Apple Podcasts and Spotify cache image files, which can cause a brief delay. While the change is instant on Acast, it can take up to 24 hours for other platforms to refresh and display the update.
