TWhy Is My Email Masked?
Every public podcast requires an email address in its RSS feed. To protect you from unwanted spam, Acast automatically masks your email address in your public feed.
You can sometimes see a masked address formatted like info+5dsca7351af@mg.acast.io when checking your public RSS feed or working with external podcast directories. Acast automatically forwards legitimate verification codes and messages from platforms like Apple, Spotify, and Google directly to the primary email address listed in your Show Settings.
How to Unmask Your Email Address
If you are not receiving a verification code to claim your show on a third-party platform, you can temporarily disable email masking:
Select your show from your dashboard and click Settings.
Scroll down to the Advanced section.
Toggle off the Obfuscate Email switch.
Click Save at the bottom of the page. Please wait 30 minutes after saving before requesting a new code to allow your RSS feed time to refresh.
Note: Once you receive your verification code or finish claiming your show, turn Obfuscate Email back on to keep your inbox protected from spam.
