Frequently asked questions

How long does it take for Spotify to approve my show?

Most shows are online and active within just one hour. Bear in mind that acceptance onto Spotify's platform is subject to Spotify's processes and content policies, and that your show cannot contain any unauthorised use of music. If you encounter issues like duplicate feeds, incorrect ads, or outdated episodes, these may require additional troubleshooting steps, which are covered in the FAQ section below.

Can I see my Spotify numbers in Insights?

You can see the Spotify statistics in Acast's Insights. Head to your Insights dashboard. From there you will see your Spotify download information under the Podcast Players tab.

You can also view and submit your podcast on Spotify itself, and view a dashboard containing additional analytics about how your show is being consumed on Spotify.

Why are outdated episodes playing on Spotify?

Outdated episodes may play due to caching or distribution delays on Spotify's side. Confirm your RSS feed is updated and request Spotify to refresh their distribution to resolve the issue. You can reach them here.

Why are my dynamic ads incorrect on Spotify?

Incorrect dynamic ads may result from duplicate feeds or caching issues. Ensure your RSS feed reflects the correct audio and ad placements. If the issue persists only on Spotify, contact their support team for assistance.

Spotify is sending me a code but I am not receiving it on my email?

If you're on a paid plan Acast masks the email address in your RSS feed to help you avoid unwanted spam, since this email is otherwise public. We forward mail from any legitimate sources to your email address on file. These forwarded messages sometimes end up caught up in a filter and might not reach you.

To receive the code you can expose your email address by turning off the email mask. We recommend turning it back on afterwards.

Removing your show from Spotify

The submission cannot be reverted from Acast. If you need your show to be removed from Spotify, please reach out to their support team.
