Hello!
At Acast, we’re always working on how we can help our podcasters maximize revenue from their shows. We strongly believe our creators should be rewarded for the brilliant content they make.
So soon, we’ll be introducing a “bonus roll” - an additional mid-roll for ads across the podcasts in our network. This will give us the potential to sell more advertising within your show and increase your revenue potential. We’ll do this in a thoughtful way, continuing to protect your listeners’ experience.
One way we do this is through our automatic mid-roll placement tool. This detects a suitable silent point in your episode and places the ad marker within it to ensure the listener experience is as smooth as possible. It also means minimal work from you, allowing you to focus on the creation of your show.
As such, we are updating our standard Terms and Conditions to enable this additional mid-roll as well as the automatic placement of mid-roll ad markers. The updated version can be viewed here.
Currently, to take advantage of this opportunity you will need to click ‘activate’ when publishing new episodes, just as you do for the existing mid-roll slot. To automatically enable the additional mid-roll on your older episodes to maximize revenue, reach out to our support team. This does not mean Acast will automatically be enabling ads on shows that currently do not monetize. If your show is not currently monetizing via ads and sponsorship, it will remain so.
Please note that you do not need to take action: the updated Terms and Conditions will be deemed accepted by any podcaster that continues to use our platform post-August 26th, 2024.
Should you have any questions at all, just get in touch via the chat bubble on your Acast dashboard.
