How to resolve duplicate Apple Podcasts listings

Sometimes, a podcast can accidentally end up with more than one listing on Apple Podcasts (usually from a past hosting transfer or feed setup issue). Because Apple’s video publishing system requires a strict 1:1 match with your active feed, duplicate listings will prevent your video from publishing.

To get this fixed, we need to clean up the duplicates with Apple and make sure Acast is pointing to the correct listing.

Steps to resolve this:

  1. Request a takedown from Apple: You will need to contact Apple Podcasts Support and ask them to remove the duplicate, inactive listing of your show. Be sure to provide them with the link to the duplicate page (e.g., https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/your-show-name/id[duplicate_id]).

  2. Let Acast Support know: Once you've reached out to Apple, send us a message at support@acast.com. We need to quickly update your Apple ID in our system and clear your integration status.

  3. Re-add your API key: Once we’ve updated your show's ID on our end, you'll be able to re-enter your Apple API key in your Acast dashboard and proceed with publishing your video.
