How do I upgrade to the video plan?
Upgrading can be done directly from your Acast dashboard. Just log in, head to your Account Settings page, and choose the subscription model that works best for you:
Billing Period | Cost (GBP / USD / EUR) |
Billed Annually | 39.99 per month |
Billed Monthly | 50.00 per month |
Is there a trial for the video plan?
We do not currently offer a free trial for the Video Plan. However, you can sign up for the monthly billing option if you’d like to test the waters and try out video publishing without a long-term commitment.
What happens to my videos on Apple Podcasts if I downgrade my plan?
If you choose to downgrade from the Video Plan, we will remove the video episodes from Apple Podcasts Connect. Here is what you can expect to happen:
Your video will disappear from Apple Podcasts: The video version of your episodes will no longer be visible or playable on Apple's platform.
Your feed will automatically revert to audio-only: Your podcast feed will switch back to a standard audio feed seamlessly so your subscribers don't lose access to your show.
⚠️ A note on your audio files: For any episodes where you only uploaded a video file, the audio that remains on your feed will be the audio track we automatically extracted from that video. If you prefer to use a different audio mix for those episodes, you can easily swap out and replace those audio files manually in your dashboard.
Is the view limit shared across all of my shows?
Yes. Your Video Plan includes an allowance of 10,000 HLS video views per month. This limit is pooled and shared across all of the active shows hosted under your single Acast account.
Does video uploaded through Acast distribute anywhere besides Apple Podcasts?
Not at the moment. At launch, our video distribution is exclusive to Apple Podcasts.
However, you don't have to worry about your listeners on other platforms missing out. When you upload a video episode to Acast, we automatically extract the audio track for you. We will distribute this audio-only version to Spotify, Amazon Music, and all other podcast apps, ensuring your entire audience is still covered.
What happens if I reach the 10,000 views limit?
We want to make sure your audience always has access to your content. To keep things running smoothly, our Creator Terms & Conditions include fair-usage provisions.
If your show starts consistently exceeding the 10,000-view threshold, our team will reach out to you to discuss options that match your growing audience.
