Step 1) Pick what app you want to use moving forward

Your choice of podcast listening app will likely come down to personal preference, but you can find a few recommendations to get you started here. Once you’ve selected your new app, make sure you download it onto your device before moving to the next step.

Please note: Spotify does not allow private RSS feeds to be added to their platform. So, if you regularly listen to exclusive content, you may want to consider one of the other options.

For iPhone Users:

Step 2) Export your OPML file from your Acast App on iPhone

  • In your Acast App, navigate to your profile tab by clicking the button on the bottom left of your screen

  • Next, head to the Settings page by clicking the icon on the top right of the Profile page

  • In Settings, scroll down to the Import & Export section and click on “Export OPML”. This will create a file and give you an option for where to save that file to your device. Make sure you save it somewhere you remember and can easily access.

Step 3) Getting the file into your new podcast app

  • Find the OPML file, which will be called “acast” and click on it. If you don’t remember where you saved it, try searching for “acast” using your phone’s search bar. The file will look like a text document.

  • Select the new app you want to share the file to. If you don’t see it while scrolling, you will likely need to scroll to “More” and select it there. In this example, we’re using Pocket Casts.

  • Once you select your app, the import process will begin automatically and you should see your shows in the new app. After that, you will be all set with your new app and can delete your Acast app.
