Here's some troubleshooting actions to take, when the Acast app is suddenly stopping to play an episode your are currently listening to.
My app stops playing when I lock my screen?
Is your device on battery-saving mode? If so, please turn it off:
Go to your smartphone's "Settings"
Click on "Apps & notifications"
Click on "Advanced" (can also be called "Battery usage")
Click on "Special app access"
Click on "Battery optimization"
Find the Acast app and make sure to disable/enable the app to play in the background
Please note that the terminology can differ between devices, but look for Apps / Battery Optimization in your Settings page.
Other possible causes
If you have tried the above steps but it's still turning off, please take a look at these workarounds:
Are “Notifications" allowed for the Acast app in your device Settings? If not, please allow notifications for the Acast app.
Are you playing the episode with a good network connection? If you have a spotty connecting, this can cause playback issues when listening to episodes. If possible, please use a different Wi-Fi network or use cellular data instead.
