Most of the time, people are interested in getting their podcast shared more widely. But just in case you need to remove your show from the iTunes/Apple Podcasts directory—perhaps for troubleshooting, perhaps for copyright—here is how.
Request podcast removal from Apple
Open the iTunes desktop app. Sign in to the iTunes store with your Apple ID
Find and Select the podcast you would like to be removed
At the bottom left of the screen, click on Report a Concern
Under the dropdown, choose the concern that says “Remove a Podcast”
5. Fill in your email address and provide details of why you'd like it removed. Once you’ve completed that, hit Submit.
Request podcast deactivation from Apple directly through the Acast CMS
If your show was submitted directly from the Acast dashboard, you can manually deactivate it — this means your show will be archived on Apple Podcasts and won’t appear to listeners.
To deactivate your show:
Go to the Acast dashboard and select your show.
Head to the Distribution tab.
In the Apple Podcasts section, click Deactivate.
Note: This option will only be available if the show was originally submitted through the Acast dashboard. If not, please follow the steps under Request podcast removal from Apple above.
