We are working towards providing the capability to transcribe episodes to all of our podcasters. If you're currently operating within the Create dashboard, you may not see this feature just yet. But please rest assured, we are working hard to ensure this feature across all users soon.
1. Go to the episode page of the episode you want to be transcribed and click the "Transcript" button.
2. Request a transcript.
Click "Request" and wait for your confirmation email when your transcript is finished processing. This may take anywhere from 1 to 3 times the length of your episode so feel free to navigate away from the page while you wait!
3. You've got mail!
When your confirmation email arrives, click the link in the email. it will take you to your episode transcript.
4. Edit your transcript.
Click the "Edit Transcript" button in the top right corner. Then go through the transcript and make any necessary changes.
5. Save your transcript.
When you finish editing, click "Save." You can also download your transcript as a text file by clicking "Download".
What languages does the transcription tool work with?
The transcription tool is currently available for use with podcasts in English, Spanish, French, German, and Brazilian Portuguese.
My episode transcription isn't loading, what's wrong?
The Acast transcription tool is a powerful asset to automate generating transcriptions, but it does require the speech in a podcast to be clear enough to detect. If the transcription is having trouble loading, check that the spoken audio is clear in the file, and that it is in one of the above languages.
Can I transcribe an episode that is scheduled, but not yet published?
No, at this time episodes must be published for transcription.
