It can be frustrating when you've hit publish and don't see your video right away. Here is why there might be a delay:
The setup isn't quite complete
If there is a lingering issue with your API key configuration or show ownership verification, Apple Podcasts won't be able to pull your video files. Double-check your connection status in your dashboard.
The video is still processing
High-quality video files take time to process. Behind the scenes, your video is being prepared and optimized for HLS streaming. This conversion process can take a little while after you upload.
Apple’s distribution delay
Once we send the video over to Apple, it has to propagate across their global servers. It’s completely normal for it to take anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours to fully appear on the Apple Podcasts app.
Apple Podcasts HLS flag is not enabled
Apple Podcasts Connect uses a specific internal setting (often called the "HLS flag") to allow your account to publish HLS video. If this setting isn’t turned on, Apple’s system won’t recognize or process your video uploads, even if your API key is correctly configured.
To resolve this, contact Apple Support directly through your Apple Podcasts Connect dashboard and ask them to verify and enable HLS video delivery for your account. Once they flip the switch on their end, your video episodes should begin syncing over from Acast without a hit
